Inter-library loans

If you cannot find the book you are looking for, please ask the staff. We keep many books in stock and we borrow books from other libraries all over Sweden, including the International library in Stockholm with a collection of over 200,000 books in more than 120 languages.

The Stockholm Public Library catalogue is available on the Internet. It comprises all literature and all media within the library including the International Library.

Internet

There are six Internet workstations at the library in Salem. These can be booked in advance and used free of charge.

With a library PIN code that we provide on request, you can manage your loans and make reservations online. A PIN code is also required for booking Internet workstations. PIN codes are issued to children under 16 only after the written consent of their parent or guardian.

Housebound readers

We provide a books-on-wheels service to housebound readers. Please ask for details.

Talking books

For persons with poor sight or other impairment who cannot read ordinary books, talking books are available.
